Noob Question-Monitor Series 11t

Hey everyone,I am completely new to home theater and speakers other than the fact that you need 2, don't mix up the cables and good ones can be expensive.

When my wife and I bought our house a year ago, the previous owner left a pair of large Polk Audio tower speakers. They are from the Monitor series, and on the back say 11t-07566. Are the numbers on the back the serial numbers first of all?

Second, are these super good speakers or would I be better off selling them, and then buying something new like a polk surroundbar? (our living room is not that large). What price would these fetch? Is $150 for the pair too cheap? Thanks for all the help and sorry for the noob question

Keep them It would be hard to best them with anything out today for their cost. I am running a pair right now for fun in my main set up and they do sound pretty nice. They image very well. Make sure all the screws are tight in the drivers and enjoy.
I like speakers that are bigger than a small refrigerator but smaller than a big refrigerator:D
