Is there a front L/R speaker in existence that would not need to bypass a subwoofer.
I read about putting all speakers to small and the receiver's low frequency crossover to 80Hz. It works fine with my Velodyne CHT-12 which ranges to a 25Hz and four tower speakers that range to a bottom level of about 40Hz to 45HZ.
I see speakers with ranges down to 30Hz for prices in the $1,000's.
I suppose to answer my own question it would be that with an unlimited budget one would get a better sound with four $2,000 towers front L/R and surround L/R in the 80Hz plus frequency range and use an excellent subwoofer or two for better lower end sound.
Alls well that ends well.
