Anybody pay much attention this year? Not much drama ON THE ROAD about who was going to win...but the other stuff was interesting.

What's your opinion on Lance Armstrong? Was he a disappointment because he didn't win? Or pretty damn good to finish 3rd for a 37 year old guy who hasn't participated in 3 years? I thought today was pretty telling. Armstrong had to hold off some of the best young riders to keep 3rd place. I personally thought that was fairly impressive.

I think next year will be interesting to see what sort of Radio Shack team he puts together. If it includes some of the names that have been thrown out...it could be a VERY GOOD team that could help him win another tour.

After what lance has been through with cancer and as many time as he has won it he does not have anything to prove in my book.

I do not pay any attention to the race, but I think your statement, Or pretty damn good to finish 3rd for a 37 year old guy who hasn't participated in 3 years, answers your question.

Yes, I watch. Lance did pretty good seeing as he did not have a full year of cycling. He broke his colloar bone earlier this year. I really was suprised he did as well as he did.

I watch the race daily and sometimes twice. Very good race this year, much better than the past few years. Lot of drama between Lance, Alberto, the Schleck brothers, Garmin and Columbia and so on.

I dont see how anyone could be dissapointed in Lance, you can only be superman for so long finishing 3rd considering his earlier injury and not having raced in three years is still very impressive to me and should be an ispiration to others.

Well, I just pulled off the impossible by doing a double-blind comparison all by myself, purely by virtue of the fact that I completely and stupidly forgot what I did last. I guess that getting old does have its advantages after all :D

Lance is and most likely will always be the KING of the Tour de France.

I never watched it at all till this year - Everyday I ride my bike and I just felt it was time to learn about this competition.

Lance Armstrong rode strong, Team Astana was very impressive.......
but I especially enjoyed watching the teams battle ending with Cavendish sprinting unchallenged - his team did a great job getting him into that authoritative finish.

Riding on flats at that speed is so fast - I hit 35mph on a downhill when the wind is right - and they were sprinting laps on the flats at that speed - awesome

I too look forward to seeing what Team Radio Shack does next year.
