Picked these big slim speakers up from ebay two weeks ago from ebay for $380

Heres my system RTI8, csi5 ,rti6 ,fxi3 ,Onkyo 607, ps3 , monoprice cable and banana plugs all hooked for watching movies on the projector

My first HT experience came from a $250 sony str-k790 that I bought on feb 2007 . I though anyone who paid more was wasting their hard earned cash . The sound was clean and clear for 20 ft

Congrats on you purchase and enjoy....

    I love my RTi10's.

I'm not sure about the statement above....
Just like you thought that your Sony HT was all you were going to need, and the RTi's opened your eyes. The same thing WILL happen if you try a sub.

Enjoy your RTi8's, I'm sure they are great, but a sub will make the experience even better...

Wow, well I do agree to an extent when comparing slow's old posts to his new but now that I know what the problem has been this entire time it doesn't really surprise me. I don't remember going into detail about what sources provided what seemed like....5.1 surround and what sources came in with a "weak center stage" etc. Anyway, at least now you've solved your problem and are able to enjoy your system the way it was meant to be enjoyed. By the way, I do recall you mentioning an LSi upgrade, that kind of boggles me considering you'd drop alot more coin for such speakers but now state that you don't even see the need for a subwoofer? Trust me, when you get a subwoofer you WILL thank all of us that recommended you getting one. I live in an apartment as well, but that doesn't stop me from running my subs for movies....I've got 4 technically and I love watching movies every minute with them on. Enjoy!

The RTi8's are some nice speakers. They do have some decent bass output, given their design. Trust me though...you NEED a sub. RTi8's don't create enough bass output to really deliver that HT experience.

gtu , I was thinking about swapping out the 3's for 5's or the 6's for 4's to balance out the back

Just out of curiosity ,how much would you pay me for either?

Anyone have an opinion on what I should change?

Not everyone wants to pay hundreds of dollars for a HT setup . I think my views reflect the majority of people that want to have the best without having to pay for it

The review is only my own opinion on why these speakers are awesome

Theres hundreds of thousands of people who own HTIB's and less who own high end . The great thing about that is more of a variety of new people get introduced to the hobby . This keeps audio moving forward for growth . My sony htib was awsome alough I could hear bass , I could not feel it but it was a foot in the doar

How can you know what you want if you dont have it
