Keiko:

I want to apologize to you for never sending out your karma, ala NHL 08. I have been out of action for a couple of months now, as the "better half" bailed on me and left me with all the bills, the whole 9 yards.

Getting back on my feet slowly but surely now, so I'll get that shipped out to you this next week. I'll throw in Resistance 2 as well (unless you already have it), since I never play it, and it's actually a good shooter. I owe you an upgrade for the wait...

Apologies again Keiko. Life was madness for a while there, but the ship is slowly beginning to change direction.

Hope the forums have been well behaved since I peeked in last.

Thanks guys. It's been hard trying to do the right thing when the girl of 8 years does you nothing but wrong, but I have to rise above her **** and get on with things.

Keiko seems like a cool cat, so I want to make sure he doesn't get shafted.

Thanks for the support all. Seems like the world is falling to **** sometimes, but if you keep on keeping on, it all works out in the end (I'm hoping....)

And Russ, I'd sell my left **** before I sold those beauts. How else would I have sound in the bedroom!?!?! Speaking of, anyone need to buy a left ****? Still functions; I'd give it an Audiogon rating of 8/10 (some minor wear and tear, a couple of scuffs/nicks, nothing major.) $ flow is still in short supply, so PM with offers :)

Hang in there, things always get better if you keep focusing on the positive and moving forward. Sort of cliche, but it's absolutely true.

    Keiko:

My priorities are finally squared away. Like everyone said, keep paddling long enough and sooner or later your legs will hit land. In lieu of a now 2 year old game I was going to send you either Assassin's Creed 2 or Uncharted 2, and then realized I have no idea what you have for games now. So in lieu of the original Karma, I just sent this your way:
1 Best Buy GC - $60 Happy Kwanzaa Gift Card 60 SKU: 9057245

    Scheduled for Standard delivery
    Estimated Arrival: 12/14-12/21/2009

I figured you'd have a BB out there, and if not, you can use it on the website for a new game, or anything else.

Thanks for being patient and not beating me down on this Keiko, but hopefully that gets me back to "keeping my word".

    Oh yea, Happy Kwanzaa :)

I've had a LOT of time to think about who I am, what I care about and what is important in life over the last few months. I no longer have "ugradeitis", as I see that my Polks will do me justice for MANY years if the SDA's are any indicator. Basically, it's been a huge learning experience for me. Funny, but you're exactly right hearing impaired. I don't think I'd feel this good about getting my life back together if things hadn't gone to **** to begin with.

Thanks for the positive words all, very much appreciated during this time.

And I HAD to Keiko. I didn't have 2 fake pennies to rub together, but a man is only as good as his word, and I had broken mine. This was the only way I could see to make things right and be able to look at myself in the mirror at night. I never once saw my dad break his word, and I'll be damned if i'm going to either. You don't have to be rich to keep your word and be a good person.

Anyway, I'm back now that my "non-karma shame" is gone, so be careful in the shadows, I'll be lurking there reading away :)

And Russ, hit me up sometime. I'll be back in NC the week after Christmas to visit/ job hunt, so we need to get up!!

edit: I am stable now, so I got rid of my fake pennies Keiko :)

Anyone with a Sealab 2021 quote (and from the funniest episode, no less) is alright in my book. Welcome back!
I never had it like this where I grew up. But I send my kids here because the fact is you go to one of the best schools in the country: Rushmore. Now, for some of you it doesn't matter. You were born rich and you're going to stay rich. But here's my advice to the rest of you: Take dead aim on the rich boys. Get them in the crosshairs and take them down. Just remember, they can buy anything but they can't buy backbone. Don't let them forget it. Thank you.Herman Blume - Rushmore

Everybody told me the same thing, and it sounded like BS at the time, but really do keep your head up, keep positive, and keep hacking away at the issue at hand. If your mindset is right and you're putting the effort forth, things will eventually work out, no matter how fvcked they seem at the time.

Happy holidays to you too Paul!

Thanks all, just glad to be back in the saddle with life, sports and of course Club Polk :) Someone fire up a heated cable debate; I've missed that banter ;)
