I just bought a pair of Monitor 60's and I am wanting a subwoofer to go with them but need help finding one that compliments them correctly, but as I am in collage I can't spend $300 on a subwoofer alone. So, which subwoofer would you recommend me get that's decent on price and performs?

Well, how big of a room are you in? I can offer you mine that I've had on CL for like a month (posted for 100 firm) but for Polkies I've dropped it to 70. Its a Polk PSW10, an entry level sub that seems to be pretty punchy for music and ok for home theater. Some people will say its a good sub for the money for small to medium sized applications but it's up to you. If you're looking for something even more hard hitting, there's the DSW series from Polk you can get on Polks ebay store.Truck setup

i just picked up my psw10 when it was on sale. its more than decent for music and ht, specially compare to my old 8' klipsch sub. but it will not be a party sub since u better not expect it to be sound too lound. other than that i cant think of a sub for this kind of money.Front: Martinlogan ESL

What is the max $$$ you can spend? kawizx9r's PSW10 might be your best bet but not knowing your budget it is hard to say. If you have $200 you could pick up a Definitive technology Prosub 100. That is what I payed a few years ago for mine. Or you could look into Energy subs. They make a good sub in the Take 5 series.
If it were me I would live without until I could afford a Sunfire. Drink a few less beers a week and don't order out for Pizza twice a month and bank that money and before you know it you will have enough for a Sunfire. LOL.
And if you live in a dorm everyone will love you with a Sunfire True sub. 2700 Watts of power that goes down to 18Hz.Sunfire TGP, Sunfire Cinema Grand, Sunfire 300~2 (2), Sunfire True Sub (2),Carver ALS Platinum, Carver AL III, TFM-55, C-19, C-9, TX-8, SDA-490t, SDA-390t -

Alright, I may just get the PSW10, but its only 50 watts RMS which is why I have been hesitant about it. How does the PSW10 compare the the PSW110?

kawizx9r, your real close to me. I am in central Indiana and go to school at Purdue. Would you be willing to ship/meet for sub pickup?

I have a dswpro 400 available for 250 if you crave a bit more power. Used for a year, great condition. Here is the link:

For the money you are looking to spend I think the PSW10 is going to be your best option. I have heard nothing but good things about it, it may be a little sub, but it has some goos punch from what I have heard. Welcome to Club Polk.
