Well guys, once again, THANK-YOU....to each and everyone of you guys/gals that sent your thoughts and prayers. Dad went into the hospital yesterday without kicking and screaming, though I'm sure he wanted too but the surgery went very well. He went in scheduled to have a double bypass surgery only to be leaving with a quad bypass. Dr. Younn said when he started the surgery upon further inspection he noticed he had another smaller blockage. Dr. Younn said it could have been 3 months down the road or 10 years down the road but it was a strong possibility he could have had another heart attack which the chances would have been pretty good he would not have made it through the next one if they would have missed it during surgery so Thank God the doctor caught it. Dad was still a little out of it when I last seen him last night but he was in good spirits, said he was ready to go home. The nurse I spoke with last night said dad was doing extremely well and was really impressed with his progress, they had the breathing tube out within an hour of him being in ICU. All in all dad is doing well, still have a ways to go as far as recovery goes but the nurses said they don't think that will be a problem. Not sure if it will be Saturday or Sunday but he has to go back into surgery again to have the pace maker put in, not exactly sure whats involved with that so still keep him in your prayers and I will definitely be keeping you guys informed of his progress. Once again, THANK-YOU guys for all your thoughts and prayers, what better family could a guy ask for.

Well, Pops was released from the hospital yesterday and will be spending the next 2 weeks at my place. Can not tell you guys how good he looks, looks the best I've seen him in as long as I can remember. Only discomfort he has is of course when he coughs or sneezes. He's loving life at the moments due to being cleared to eat what ever he wants for the next 2 weeks as long as it's with low salt intake. Doctors told him to eat plenty of red meat as well as spinach. All-in-all I can't thank you guys again for all the prayers and kind thoughts you guys sent my families way. Has to go back to see his heart doctor in 2 weeks and I guess they will make a decision then on what they are going to do as far as a pace maker goes or if he even needs one. Can't tell you guys how blessed I feel to still have dad around and looking forward to the many years ahead of us as a family. Damn sure been an eye opening experience for not only him but the rest of the family as well. Again, THANK-YOU guys for opening your hearts and prayers to my family and if there is ever anything I can do for you guys, please let me know.

I knew the whole "don't eat red meat" thing was a conspiracy!!!!
