Thanks, yes an upgrade of sorts is taking place. Moving overseas and into an apartment so I'm kind of downsizing as well. Looking at a bookshelf setup based around either the Ascend Acoustic Sierra-1, Usher S-520, B&W 605 etc and a small pair of sealed subs like the Velodyne SPL-800r, Polk Micropro 1000 or Aperion Bravus 8D. Undecided on components so far expect for the BR player which will be the new OPPO BDP-83 and I'll be getting a Salamander Triple 20 A/V cabinet.

They are comparable to the Bic H-100 which I used to have, for $229 they are a bargain. The piano black end caps and cherry finish do give it a classy look, the cherry is just a little lighter than my M70. They aren't sub 20hz monsters and they are under-ported IMO(single 3.5" rear port) but I don't listen to them loud enough to have noticed any port noise so far. I've measured commendable output down to 23hz in my room however. -
whats the lowest u would take for both subs keeping in mind they are $229 shipped brand new on the ebay. with I think right now they have 8% cashbackFronts- RTi8

Did you say in the original post that you have 3 subwoofers etup? One velodyne, and 2 PA 120's?
That sounds like overkill. I'm curious the sound that would output.
Good luck on the move!

what about those subs pm, me
I checked with fed-ex today and it's going to be about $45/ea to ship them, obviously that ends up being more than you can pick them up new. I'm probably just going to pull them off here and see if I can get them sold locally on craigslist. Sorry -

The velodyne is an subwoofer eq system, not a sub. In my room multiple subs are needed as it's odd shape and fairly large. Ideally I would have four of these subs in this room if I wasn't moving. My last two DIY subs I had in this room where roughly 3x the size of these current subs and I could hit 118db at the seats before the amp would clip (behringer EP2500 450wx2). -
The Monitor 70's and subs are still available for local pickup or delivery for a same fee to include the Tucson and Phoenix areas.

That's a very nice looking setup you have there.
