Help me find LED bulbs for Denon Amp

Google usually helps me find about anything, but I am having a hard time finding the small bulbs (I read LED's in various colors are now available) for the meters of a POA-1500II power amplifier.
Can anybody point me to a website or know who I can ask?

I don't think the lights behind the meters are LED, but a small indecent bulb of 6-18v. A led is under 2.2v so at least a resistor would need to be added, value would be determined by voltage, current of led, and the source voltage.

There are many people who owns these beautiful amps. I have Denon POA-3000 but I don't have POA-1500II. I don't think they use the same bulbs. LEDs were not used in the old days as DisneyJoe pointed out.
Even if you use Resistor to drop voltage in order to use LED, you may not be able to physically install it. But there are gurus out there who can answer your questions.

Thanks Joe, there are 6 bulbs. I just remember reading somewhere that LED's could be installed to last longer.
Any idea where I could get a small indecent bulb of 6-18v? -

Sure, I'll ask for you and post your question the AK vintage forum. It may take a day or two for the folks there to reply.

I haven't need to buy one in years, but this member has posted this site which seems to have many types available.Try www.vintage-electronics.net. Bob has 8V 300mA bayonet and wedge base lamps. The latter were used in Pioneer receivers of the 1970's. Good luck, I hope you can find what you need

Perfect. Thanks for the link also.

From the Service Manual you have, you can find the value of the Original lamps.
From the original voltage and current ratings, you can just simply plug in this equation as pointed out in the AK thread and get a proper resistor to use with the LED.

LED parameters will be given to you by the sellers such as Mouser or Digikey.Trying out Different Audio Cables is a Religious Affair. You don't discuss it with anyone.:biggrin: -
Eric, if I were you, I'd junk that boat anchor. Then get something with a little less power and higher THD%.
I am amazed I kept that one as long as I did.
May the smoke be released from the caps and all the electrons go crashing to the floor.
....and that tacky-**** rosewood side panels..,.sheesh!
I've still got my modded one and it's better than yours so NYAH! NYAH! NYAH!
....enjoy it buddy;) -
Come on lightman, some sweet big blue LED's in that old school bad boy Denon and some pimped black side panels by Nik will make that thing sound way better!
Then a trip down to Ben's... -
I can dig it! Busy Saturday?
-
Nope. Your welcome to come on over.

ain't his name "lightman"...
