AVR is supposed to be same as Pioneer VSX-1019AH-K, less a few features which may or may not be important to you:
"The 1019 has these extra features (a) 1 additional HDMI input, (b) can upscale SD via HDMI, (c) zone 2 OSD for iPod. If you don't need any of those features the 919 will be a great unit and you can put an extra $100 toward speakers."
