The speakers are probably worth $90. I used to sell Advent's in the late 80's. Decent speaker but comparable Polks of the day blew them out of the water (IMO). The rest of the gear is junk in the ad.

Personally I'd take a pair of Polk 5B's over the Advents of the era the Maestro was around.

Kenwood hasn't made good gear since the Trio days of the 70's. I used to own all of the Basic Series of the late 80's early 90's and even that stuff wasn't that great.

I'd check the model number of the Pioneer CDP.......it seems like a very old player to me.

thanks H9, kinda had my eye on the speakers but maybe ill keep searching for some Polks. I will be setting up in a small office/bedroom environment, strictly music.

That looks nice as a small start up for Knucklehead and the NAD can be kept if you go to larger speaks....later...

No problem. You willing to ship if i find something you can't refuse? I'm not sure that i'd be able to find better than that on Craigslist, but my stuff will probably be getting swapped out soon, and we could probably work out something.

If you'd like, i can see if he'll take a lower amount for just the NAD stuff. I personally don't like those speakers he's got at all and that would be the worst part of shipping.

Same deal goes for you. If you want to get ahold of him and see what he'd take for just the NAD stuff, i'm going down in that area anyways on Saturday and i can pick it up, get a shipping quote on Monday and get it out to you.

It looked REALLY cheap to me, too. I considered getting it myself, but i don't really have a use for it.

^Ok, i'll keep looking then. I'm looking for myself as well almost constantly now, so i'll let you know if anything nifty comes up. I may still try to see how low i can get that NAD stuff for without the speakers. If i can get it for like $40-$50, you interested? Shouldn't be THAT bad to ship.

Let me see if he'll separate away from the speakers, because i doubt you'd want them, and shipping them will suck.

I'll let you know what i find out, and we'll go from there. I'm pretty confident we're looking at under $100 including shipping.

It doesn't matter to me. You want the 2 channel starter set. If you are trying to start, this is a great way to do it and I think you should go for it. If you change your mind I will be all over it. If you see what I have, you'll understand that buying it is probably a favor to me (and my girlfriend).
