The Raccoon is "MUTT", and his twin is "Jeff"....not pictured , but there. "Foxy Lady" is the the Fox and my "bud". She hangs out . Knows a sucker where she ses um.
They show up between 8:30 & 9:30 ....this time of year....as sunset changes. Sometimes together. -
That is cool.:D I live in the city too and have had the possums and racoons but only saw a fox 1 time in 20 yrs. here. 3 Am. last winter,I just happened to look out the window for some reason and saw one trot across the street 2 doors down. Cool. Lots of Hawks in the city here too.:rolleyes:Most people just listen to music and watch movies. I EXPERIENCE them.

...you need to play some "Miles" and turn the porch light on at the same time you put food out. They are SMART critters. They have great timing.

Out here, we just shoot them.Political Correctness'.........defined

That's awesome. All I get are bunnies and the occasional hawk landing on the fence.Check your lips at the door woman. Shake your hips like battleships. Yeah, all the white girls trip when I sing at Sunday service.

hmmm... create a story book about a raccoon and fox/coyote that lives in Wash DC along with the democrat donkey and republican elephant listening to Jazz
-
I hope you understand what you are doing really is not a good thing.

Out here, we just shoot them.
....in Washington it is the opposite. Tourist get shot.
Fort Bunker Hill is a block away....no fort ....just dense woods. Great for wildlife.
It is unfortunate that wildlife in the city have short lifespans. I get a set of twin raccoons every July and they disappear over the winter. Usually a opossum too. This is the first fox. There are 8 city blocks of open space off my back yard---all fenced....belongs to the Franciscan Monastery. Safe harbor. -
Come on, we all know who's getting shot in DC and it's not the tourist.Political Correctness'.........defined

Thats too damn funny and sorry to say TRUE.
Who can shoot someone when you can't own a gun in DC? I know I know the criminals but who cares about them
Feeding wild animals is NEVER a good idea no matter where you live. -
What is that?? Is that a opossum with a raccoons tail?
-
Funny you say that it seems that gun laws stop lawful people in owning them... Where people whom we wish to protect ourselves from are armed.
You just need to buy an illegal gun as "Green" talks.

It appears there is some inbreeding going on in the DC area."He who fights with monsters should look to it that he himself does not become a monster. And when you gaze long into an abyss the abyss also gazes into you." Friedrich Nietzsche

I agree with both of you guys but I have to wonder what the hell that is!!! Being a outdoorsman/hunter/fisherman I don't know what to think about that creature.
I've been told that fox tend to be one of the most receptive animals to rabies for what ever reason. So I'd be careful having them so very close and like I stated earlier its never a good idea to feed the wild animals like that.
Dee, be careful -
....Glad to see you caught it.
....That is Millie Opossum's Halloween outfit....edited the tail in to make her more presentable. The opossum's tail really puts people off. They are all youngsters and disappear in winter , as they mature , to find their own territory.
More humans have Aides than wildlife have rabies. If you read up on it....in cities it is rare to see rabies cases. Not that they don't occur.
