    I see Russ is at it again. I personally know 3 people who waited over 3 months with no communication whatsoever from Russ to get their stuff. Think Dodd Levitator. It seems everyone wants to handle his complete lack of follow through with kid gloves because he is well known on this forum. He used to be a stand up guy as far as sales go.........

    I say BS..................he's no different than anyone else who would come in here, take your money, never send your item and never communicate with you.

    That's my .02c and yes I had a horse in this race as my brother and 2 other friends had to deal with his ****.

    Well, I did a deal with Russ about a month ago. Not sure what's going on. If people think it really necessary, I live about 45 minutes from him. I could make a trip up there and knock on his door, see what's up.

    I believe your comments are completely uncalled for Brock. You know what works well, offline communication. We all run into some troubles and perhaps communication could have been handled better by Mr. Gates. Historically, he's taken care of more Polkies and sold more stuff on Club Polk than anyone including myself, George Grand or TroyD.

    Agreed, Russ perhaps could have handled comm better but it is pretty apparent that he's not a grab the money and run guy....therefore I don't see the need to dredge up old crap, especially in light of the fact that it seems to be an honest miscommunication.

    I agree about warning about scammers, but this is a different situation.

    Oh come on people. Russ **** up. Simple. Whatever the reasons were. And yes, I agree he's not the grab the money and run type, but nevertheless he **** up.

    Is it right to bring up old stuff? No. But I don't think it's right for anyone to come now and say it's been just a little miscommunication. Again, come on guys. We have trashed many people for a lot less.

    I got what I bought from him, and never had a doubt he would ship, but it was fairly late.

    Will I buy again from him? Pretty sure I will.

    Did he **** up? Yes.

    I'd buy from him again.

    I've only bought like, well, 12 or 15 items already. And yes, I was always able to go pick them up in Dallas before I switched jobs. This one was a little different and got messed up.

    Yeah I'm the ****. You probably shouldn't speak about things you don't know anything about before calling me an ****. Attempts thru well know polkies were made to try and square things with Russ including direct phone calls to Russ by my brother. In the end after close to 3 months it was worked out, not very satisfactorily, but worked out nonetheless. I expect more from the "golden" members of this forum especially if I'm going to personally recommend someone buy from them. No it wasn;t a lot of money, about $200 give or take...........but on principle it was a slap in the face.

    And while I have no direct knowledge, I was told you were contacted to try and help get ahold of Russ at the time. I completely understand his situation and we all have things happen that we have no control over, but the complete, and i mean, complete lack of communication is what set the thing in motion.

    It's history now, so if you want to discuss me being an **** furthur I can pm you my phone number. And yes I am defending my brother much as you are defending Russ.

    My last comment is I agree.............against what I wrote earlier, I don't believe it was intentional on Russ's part. I do not believe his intent was to grab and run.

    I'll do as Ricardo requests and chalk it up to a **** up and I will not bring it up or talk about it again. I told Blake at the time to just let it go and I guess I should have too.

    Yeah, totally cool, I thought Dave and I were doing the same thing, but that is squared away now.

    As far as all the other crap, it wasn't intentional, and I don't or won't try to make an excuse, life got F'd up for a while, I got passed it, as far as I know everyone on the receiving end did too. I try NOT to drag personal 'issues' onto the board, as I beleive it simply doesn't belong here - I realize I could and should have handled things differently, that whole hindsight thing. A couple of days delays turned into weeks, etc etc.

    All that said, if anyone has any final comments or jabs, can you hurry up and get them over with, so current for sale threads can be the ones focused on here. I don't mind, I can take my medicine - but there are other *active* threads here.
