This is not every time, but every once in awhile when I shut my tv off (which also powers off my receiver at the same time) I hear a loud pop. What is causing this, is it dangerous to the speakers, and how do I stop it?

thanks!

How is it hooked up that your receiver shuts off at the same time?

I would shut off the receiver first to avoid this.

There is a setting on the receiver to link it to the tv, the tv then can shut it off ect, which shutting off the tv.

I'd remove that link, and just shut the receiver off manually. The TV's probably just cutting the power to the receiver, which makes it shut off instantly, instead of shutting it down properly.
