I just bought a pair of monitor 7 series 2 speakers from the goodwill for $30. Came home hooked them up and one of the drivers is bad. I need a replacement MW 6502. Any thoughts on these speakers, good or bad deal and where to get the Driver. The one that works sounds great. I also love my JBL L100T's. I couldnt pass up on this deal though, i thought.

Sweet deal, contact Polk customer service on Monday, and buy a replacement driver.

The Montior 7 was the speaker that put Polk 'on the map'. Great find.

    Cheers,

I agree with Russ. When I looked into replacing the drivers in my Monitor 5 jrs, they were $50 for the 6502. If they have the SL-1000 tweeters in them, those are $50 as well, however I replaced mine for $30/pc from Parts Express.
