I got to play with a Velodyne Microvee sub this weekend! No, it won't blow out windows, but that is one tiny sub! That would be awesome for a computer or small room. I just thought it was cool:D What are you guys' thoughts on the little velos?

I was waiting to hear something about these, as I've yet to hear them. I was on the lookout for a nice sub without a huge footprint AND without breaking the bank too much. I went out and auditioned some Epic subwoofers, Polk Micro's and the sort and I definitely liked the Epic subs, but theyre a bit on the large side. I'm running two subwoofers, my Velodyne being a 12" and it gives me ALOT of bass for HT, but I'd like to cut down on the footprint it yields and the amount of subs I'm running. Well that budget more than doubled and went into a 2 channel setup so I've got a few months to recoup cash for a new sub, will need to hear what else people say about these subs and other small subs. I'm really looking at Sunfires but, I can't find a reputable online dealer and found out that the authorized retailers in Chicago only do complete custom home theater setups.Truck setup

I bought a MicroVee and the MiniVee 8". I was expecting a little more from the MicroVee--it just wasn't there for me. So I figured, I'll try it out with my computer--it didn't thrill me much more than the Logitech sub. I returned it.
I still have the MiniVee though and its doing a fine job for games and HT duty. Its nice and small, well suited for a smaller room , esp where you don't want to take up space with a behemoth.____________________

Velo's are nice - I drive the SPL 1200 Series II - and the MicroV is nice as well. For that matter, the Sunfire is excellent and should be put in the same category.
Would I buy one for computer duty? Wow - thats a lot of money to drop on intermittent usage, but I suppose that depends on how much disposable income you have and how often you use your computer for multimedia.Do you hear that buzzing noise?
