...Anybody using Maggies with a subwoofer
....i have a pair of Magnepans MG I's that have been rebuilt...new wires and crossovers.
Love the sound. HOWEVER, I am storing a friends Avance Epilogue 980 speakers....review below:

...The bass on these is awesome. Tight....and wall shaking. They are spoiling me while I have them. Find myself listening to them instead of the Maggies. Once they are gone I would like to find a way to integrate a sub into my system.

Saw on Fleabay some gizmo that goes on the speaker cable to redirect sub sound. Any body try this or recommendation on a reasonable priced sub.

Dee, I do not have maggies but a friend has some 1.6s (I think). He has had good success with moving them closer to a back wall. I do not find them lacking in bass.
Doubt that helps except maybe try the maggies closer to a back wall.Speakers: SDA-1C (most all the goodies)

I use an SVS SB12+ sub with my 1.6's. It integrates very nice and will give you about as much bass as you could stand. I run it at about 2 to 3 on the gain dial.DKG999
