i was thinking about the csi20 because it's an actual center speaker and useing it as a rear center where my rti28 is now.. Thing i was wondering, and i am not really thinking of doing this unless it could be done and reasons good enough to do so.. could you swap out the x-over, driver and tweeter being they are better and put them in the csi20 enclosure.. to better the drivers in that enclosure and being the 28 would be a single odd ball so i could use the drivers and not care... I know the tweeters look different far as dropping them right in, but is it bigger behind that bezel on the 28(tweeter that is) and would this just be a waste.. idea's suggestions of people who know this will/won't work// Thanks

It would proably work well enough. You may have to play with fill amounts to let the woofer think the box size is 'just right'.

What are the internal dimensions of both speakers?

No chance on just laying the 28 on it's side?

If you live near a Fry's, they have the CSi20 for $77 each, best price I've found so far.

    Cheers,

wow thats a great price, I already have the 28 on it's side on a shelf i made, But was just thinking the 20 was 15" wide versus 12" of the 28 and the logo would be right up, and maybe look better and bigger..
