I haven't seen a vinyl karma in a little while and am overstocked on some titles so here we go. I am going to give away to the winner the choice of two of the following classic rock LP's:

Ricki Lee Jones - First Album
Eagles - Hotel California
Alan Parson's Project - Pyramid
Pink Floyd - Dark Side of the Moon
The Police - Sychronicity
Supertramp - Crime of the Century
Yes - Close to the Edge

To be in just say "in" and which two LP's you would choose and why. If you don't say why your name won't go in the hat. Pretty simple. Winner to be drawn next week sometime when entries have fallen off. Good luck.

Kelvin

edit...I spelled vinyl wrong in the header. Hehe I blame my gimp hand.

    Very nice karma!

    In please!:D

If I win, I'd take Pink Floyd DSOTM, because it's my favorite album of all time...hands down. I've got it on Redbook, SACD...hell...I've even got a cassette version of it somewhere. Don't have it on vinyl though. My current TT isn't the greatest, but I'd love to compare the vinyl version to the SACD.

    Second, I'd take Eagles-Hotel California.

Hotel California's another excellent album. I used to have it on CD...but it mysteriously came up "missing" at one of my old apartments. I've been meaning to get another copy of it for a while now, and I'd love to have it on vinyl. It's been far too long since I've kicked back and listened to HC.

I would be totally in on this, if only I had a player for them. :D Good choices Curt, I'd be picking the same. Great songs on both those albums.

In, please for Police and Yes.
Why? Because I don't have them. I would go with DSOTM, but I think I have a copy of that somewhere, most of my vinyl is packed waiting for our new home. I know I have it on CD, tho, so I would go for something I know I don't have at all.
    Thanks, great karma.

I am in on this as well. I recognize that you asked us to pick two, but each that you have put up for Karma have meaning to me...

Ricki Lee Jones - First Album... I remember her performance on Saturday Night Live in 1979

Eagles - Hotel California... My first girlfriend and I made out to this one...
Alan Parson's Project - Pyramid... She was a huge Alan Parsons fan, and we went to see them in concert

Pink Floyd - Dark Side of the Moon... My first exposure to The great Pink Floyd, and one of my favorite albums and groups of all time

The Police - Sychronicity. The Police were trend setters and this is one of the greatest albums ever.

Supertramp - Crime of the Century... I was not a big Supertramp fan, but this album certainly ranks as their best effort and Bloody Well Right is a classic worthy of any top fifty collection

Yes - Close to the Edge... Yes is just a fun group that always seems to get a smile from me whenever I listen to them.

Combined they represent soem of the best memories of my youth and all in some way remind me of Cathy... She was lost to cancer two years ago at the age of 41.

    Thanks for the Karma!

    John

I will be out of town until Saturday next week.

    in if you please.

Those are all good to great records; I own most of 'em, but I don't have Crime of the Century (a very fine album) nor Pyramid (also a good album from the string of successful concept-oriented 'productions' that Alan Parsons -- famed as producer of The Dark Side of the Moon -- turned out in the late 1970s through early 1980s).

Those would be my two choices...

    In please!

    1. Hotel California

Why? I loaned out my original copy of HC many years ago and never got it back. I replaced it with a CD but have always wanted another LP.

    2. Crime of the Century

    Why?

This is a really good album that would be fun to have on LP!

    Nice Karma!!!!!!

    BTW..who is viny? lol

    IN!

    1. Yanni's Greatest Hits - Because it's got a good beat, and you can dance totally free-style to it.

    2. Krakatoa, East of Java (Original Soundtrack) - It's the only disaster movie soundtrack I don't have.

    Thanks!

I'm in, But if I do win I'd like to Karma back to John in memory of Cathy...

Pink Floyd ~Dark Side of the Moon... Wore my copy out, this brings back memories of watching them perform their "Dark Side of the Moon" tour at the now torn down Roosevelt Stadium in Jersey City, NJ.

Eagles~ Hotel California....this is one of my all time favorites...Picture this..it's 1976 hanging at the park with your freinds, the new Eagles cassette playing on the deck...oh what memories.

Sorry I have to add one more...

Yes~ Close to the edge.....one of my favorite groups that I've seen no less than 6 times in concert......I can remember being a Roosevelt Stadium (lots of great rock concert there) standing on first base in the mud up to my ankles, hoping they wouldn't cancel the concert because of the rain, they did play and played an extra hour in spite of the weather.

kelvin thanks for the Great Karma.......very good selections, I like them all

Yes, because my two copies were ruined by mold.

Pink Floyd would be great, as I have NONE in my meager collection.

Hotel Cali. Would also be great, the copy I have is warped in the beginning of the title track.

    Awesome Karma
