Have y'all not seen an X6 before? This is sad, people. :(

A friend and I saw one at the BMW plant in SC before they came out. Those things have some HUGE rear meats.

Oh...my...gosh...and I thought the Aztec was the epitome of ugly. What is Acura doing ruining the front end of EVERYTHING with that stupid grill? And the worse part is...I actually saw a new TL on the road...that means people are buying them!! *facepalm*

First of all, I think this car looks good. The Aztec may have been a good idea, or not, but it was as fugly and wierd as they come IMO.

Secondly, this reminds me more of the Lexus RX than of the Aztec.

Finally, five door vehicles with a "fastback" rear hatch are nothing new. They have been around for quite a long time. Basically, a stationwagon without the boxy looks (by using the "fastback" style), which also sacrifices some of the loading convenience, of course.

    Where's Jstas?!

It's ridiculously fast in V8 form though... I think it runs some sort of 13 second 1/4....it only eats 2 gallons during that time too! :)

I test drove X6, chubby SAV, go fast and has more oomph than X5, but wider base. The slope makes it appear as if the rear space is tighter, but is not so bad once you're inside. I like X3 the most, it is very nimble in city traffic, same engine size as X5 but lot less weight.
I am sorry, I have no opinion on the matter. I am sure you do. So, don't mind me, I just want to talk audio and pie.

I love the look of the X6. On the other hand, that Acura looks really bad.

It looks like the design team finished 75% of the car and rushed the last 25% - what's up with that shunted up rear end?

OTOH, the front actually looks nice.

I believe this thread just demonstrated the beauty of German cars vs American cars. And for that very reason, I don't see BMW or Benz applying for $15 billion.

The X6 is a gorgeous car inside and with the 4.8 engine, it can really haul. Drives much better than any other SUV I've ever driven, including the Porsche Cayenne Turbo and Audi A7. I drivean X6 a few times a week and they are really great cars. The outside may not appeal to everyone, but the inside is beautiful and just as you would expect from BMW.

Wow, those are some fugly looking rides, including the Corvette. You want a nice looking Chevy you need to go back much farther, back to the Stingray. That was the last time Chevy made anything "nice" looking.

You know I probably want one?!

I KNOW I have dreams every night with those hard, supportive seats under me, standing firm against the extreme g-forces those magneto-rheological shocks are handling with prowess; that 7.0L screaming, inducing g-forces all its own; those massive rear tires biting their tongues to the point of detachment, trying with all their might not to shriek for mercy.

    Yeah, I want one...

I think the bmw looks fine. The Acura not so much. The problem with both these vehicles is that they're an answer to a question that nobody asked.
