I just got done re-discovering some Pink Floyd albums and now Black Sabbath Symptom of the Universe, sounds fantastic! Black Sabbath is one of my most favorite classic rock bands with Ozzy. I like allot of the newer music today but theres just something about the older stuff. ;)

Brings back memories.

I'm 50 and still like a healthy dose of Black Sabbath on a regular basis! Children of the Grave is one of my favorites. Loud is alright, but there's something really neat about Black Sabbath played at low volume in a totally dark room with the big soundstage of the Magnepans.

I've got all the early "Ozzy" Sabbath on vinyl. I agree with dkg999 I like it just as much at lower volumes and on a good system where it becomes almost hypnotic. i can't wait to hear them and everything else on the new SDA-1C's I bought from Geoff.

A few more things toward the thread. I still need to get more Floyd albums to hear but have always liked their style. Black sabbath was too hard for me in the early days but I'll listen to you guys and gals recomendations now that I have the time for a little while longer.I didn't like ac/dc earlier either but I do now.go figure...Also these SDA's are great to re-listen to my music collection on!

Personally, I like the non-Ozzy Black Sabbath more than the Ozzy Black Sabbath.

Ozzy is a bit over-rated in my ever so humble opinion.

    Nope...Mary Ann definitely trumps Ginger.

Ozzy just doesn't do it for me though...at all...I can barely stand to listen to him for the most part really...lol

Toss that 'Greatest Hits' cd to the side for a bit and pop in DSOTM or Animals, I always find Pink Floyd much more enjoyable when listening to an album as a whole rather than songs pieced together...

    Agreed 1000%

Pink Floyd isn't a "greatest hits" band...they're an entire album band. Their songs are still good individually...but they're really written as albums...meant to be listened to as a whole. I can't just pop in DSOTM or Animals and listen to a song or two...it's all or nothing.

I have almost all of the Floyd albums...but have no intention of getting any of the greatest hits collections anytime soon. After I complete my collection, I might get them just for the sake of having them...

Does anybody know WHEN "Wish You Were Here" is coming out on SACD?!
Everytime I look at SACD's on Amazon, this pops up, but as a CD, and totally psyches me out!
