I wonder if the picture quality is worth waiting for until the prices come down vs. purchasing a plasma at a good price now....

I was VERY impressed with the display on the Samsung model I saw. Looked like real life, felt like I was actually there or watching it through a window. Contrast ratio of 3,000,000:1, and it's only 1.2" deep.

It states that the color temperature can be changed using different voltages thus reproducing the actual sunlight spectrum throughout the whole day

I am very excited about that

I think nguyendot is right here. OLED is prohibitively expensive still in a large screen. The only real screen I've seen with this tech is the small-sized Sony...still well over 2000 for a screen under 20"?

How much was the Samsung selling for?

You guys are right, I went and looked at it again today (bad idea, lol) and it was indeed an LED not OLED. I was getting all excited thinking I had stumbled onto the deal of a lifetime, lol. Price was still the same though $3200 for the 55" Sammy (no tax either ) gotta love the Military, lol.
