Hi guys, im new to this forum and new to car audio systems as well. I have been browsing around for a while and was going to buy this sub:
http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_7817_Infinity+Kappa+Perfect+12+VQ.html.
I have already bought this amp:
http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_9711_Infinity+Reference+1600a.html.
I was debating getting the sr124 instead of the infinity. My question is will this amp be able to power the sr124?
Thanks in advance

I have the SR 124 DVC and sounds beautiful way better than the infnity
just make sure to buy the DVC so you can use the amp at 2 Ohms
and this amp is 600 RMS at 2 Ohms so i think its going to be ok, its not the best option but it will workZ

What do you guys think? -
Never base your decision purely on wattage. It tells you nothing of how it will sound or how loud it will play.
It's all in the box, driver specs, and how you set it up.Main Surround -

Thx for the help, I think im gonna go with the SR. I have another question. When buying a amp wiring kit for 2 amps, to get the appropriate fuse for the system I just add up all the fuses on my amps right?
Like I have an older 2 channel kenwood amp that im gonna use to power my rear channel speakers, and the fuses on it add up to 40A. The fuses on my infinity mono amp are 75A. So I just add the 2 together to get 115A correct?
And is it ok just amplify my rear channels with the kenwood and amplify my front channels with only the head unit?
Thx in advance -
I just bought an SR124 and it is a HUGE sound but I second the opinion on how you set it up making it sound right, box size and all...
As for your last question on running your rears off your Kenwood, I would personally power the fronts and leave the rears on you deck. You are going to be listening to the fronts since that is where you will be sitting so it would make more sense to power them.
Best of Luck and enjoy your new system!
