My living room is a open room, there is a wall on left side (Facing to the TV on the front) but other right side doesnt have a wall because there are open to kitchen room. So it means that i can not mount fxi a6 or rti a3 on sides of the wall. So it means i will have to go for three pairs of floorstand speakers.
A9 for front, a5 for side and a7 for rear? or do you guys have solution for fxi a6 or rti a3?
I may as well include speakers cost in my loan.. maybe!!! dont know yet, am figuring out now..

Could you use ceiling mounts to hang your A3 ?
-
Use speaker stands. If you go with floorstanders then go with all a5's. No need to spend the extra money on a pair of a7's when the a5's will do and be overkill for surrounds.

dont know if counter by my kitchen sink where barstools will be place and dont know if height will allow me to use ceiling mount a3's. I think a3 can be mounted in the back by sliding doors..
Will take pics of the room after dinner..I am 100% BORN DEAF and No I am not kidding! Why am I here? My wife's hearing!

Use some speaker stands for them. There are plenty of options out there to go with basically any room, and most of them don't really break the bank.
As Lee said, if you do decide to go with floorstanders, go with A5's. The A7's or A9's would be overkill for surround duty IMO.The nirvana inducer-

+1 on this.
I can make you some nice hanging stands for the 3's or 6's if you want to go that route, What I mean by this is they will be stands that sit on the floor but you will hang them from the hook on the back of the speaker, and you would be able to turn them to your liking. They would pivot from the base.
They would cost a lot more then the stands you can buy that you just sit them on. Plus you would never scratch the bottoms of the speaker.
With that said the cost of the 6's plus the stands I could build for you, you could just buy the 5's.
So I say if you have to, go for the 5's sides and rears. -
I didnt take pics yet, kids are coming in and out of the house. I am going to take pics tonite and you all can see what my options are.
I dont really want to use ceiling mount but its good idea.. Dont want to do damages to my new home. IF i go that route, i probably need hire someone to do it for me.
wife said itd be easier use floorstand speakers but we also have 20 mos old son who like to push things down. Do you think he can push a5's on the floor?I am 100% BORN DEAF and No I am not kidding! Why am I here? My wife's hearing!

Doubtful, but you never know. I'd say just go ape at get A5s for the surrounds/rear surrounds. Nothing says "wow" like six floor standing speakers -

Ceiling mounts can work if it turns out to be your best compromise - given your constraints.
A3s may be a bit large - what about A1s as rears? They can still pump some sound as rears. I have RTi4s ceiling mounted cuz I have no 'left wall' which is open to my kitchen and no room behind the couch.
I got pics if interested...fwiw....

Here's a pic of my HT/family room:
http://erikt.cts.com/Pictures/hometheater/RTI4-Omni-mount-2.JPG
http://erikt.cts.com/Pictures/hometheater/RTI4-Omni-mount.JPG
If you look to the 'right' you can just see the white framing to my back door.
And facing that way to the 'right' is my kitchen - there is no wall to mount anything on that side and there is no room to put a speaker on a stand.
Due to WAFs - the room layout is what it is and I had to work within those constraints to get the HT setup in place.
Not the ideal setup....isn't to THX or Dolby specs for placement, but it works well for me.
Polk speakers with rear power ports can easily be adapted to use different ceiling mounts.
http://erikt.cts.com/Pictures/hometheater/RTI4-Omni-mount-1.JPG
Some may not trust that setup, but Polk verified with me that the powerports are designed to hold the full weight of the speakers. As long as you use a mount and ceiling hardware rated to support the weight of the speaker you should be fine.
Do what works best for your space and constraints.

The mounts are the Omnimount20 - holds up to 20lbs.
The Omnimount ball has a threaded end that fits nicely in the powerport keyhole.
But - I adapted it by creating a washer and nut 'sandwich' by purchasing two oversized washers and a 2nd nut.
One washer and one nut go on either side of the powerport keyhole - then you tighten down the nuts from both sides.
Works perfectly - snug, safe, and strong.
The Omnimount was then ceiling mounted used heavy duty dry wall expansion lugs.
This may not deemed suitable by others - but it works great for me.

I think what you are describing are called "bulkhead" mounts which come in different sizes and threaded to accept different diameter threaded pipes.
With the right hardware you can ceiling mount a bulkhead mount and put in as big a pipe as you need for the strength you want. I'd use toggle bolts for something really heavy.
fwiw....

Nope...These are just standard plumbing parts, nothing fancy, they run about $1.50 each....Being a Plumbing contractor for the past 30yrs we use these all the time.....If you paint them with a black high gloss paint, they'll look as good as anything else you'd be able to find at a fraction of the cost.....
I have plenty of them, PM me your address and I'll send them to you, if you give me the size of the nipple I'll custom cut it for you too.....no big deal

Your livingroom is similar to mine, except I have an 18ft vaulted ceiling and a more walls between the kitchen. I mounted my FXi3's along the back wall (per the polk diagram) and they work fine. They would probably work better mounted along the sidewalls next to the listening area, but they still create a nice sense of spaciousness mounted along the rear wall.
Open floor plans are nice, but aren't very home theater friendly lolMy System Showcase!

wouldnt be enough room or couch to tv distance will be closer. We are comfortable with our tv setting. Plus cable and speaker wire plate is already installed on north wall.
so which speakers should i go for surrounds in my open space living room situation?
rti a5's
rti a3

The FXi a6 would need to be mounted on the wall to diffuse the sound, as the sound waves need to be reflected off of an adjacent wall.My System Showcase!

Why not just do a 5.1 and use the rti a3's on each side of the patio door in the rear behind the couch and be done with it? Forget the sides.
