Noob Needs Help w/Speaker ID

Recently bought a pair of Monitor 7cs. Although working OK, I saw a cap upgrade kit on eBay and thought it was probably time (that and I wanted to solder something). Install went fine, though I wasn't positive it made all that much difference. Now, here's the bad part. In looking at the Polk website, it appears I may have the Series 2 speakers. Mine have a tag on the back saying Monitor 7 Series, but have the SL2500 tweeters. The upgrade kit says, in big red letters, not compatible with Series 2. So, wondering if they are indeed Series 2. And, of course, where to go if I've trashed the original caps and need to pull out the new ones.

Too bad you didn't find this place before the kit purchase.
Use the Search function here and you'll find a lot of info on the re-build. Everything matters and the folks here will help you out.
Here are 3 good places to start looking at capacitors and resistors. Get the Mills resistors from Sonic Craft and you have a lot of options on the Caps.
Do a little research and come back with any and all questions.

OK, let's do pics. Here's the speaker, the label, the crossover with new kit installed (high- and low-pass cap), and the parts removed.

You could have done much better than what that guy on e-bay is selling parts for.
Sonicaps
ClarityCap
Solen
Dayton
all would have been better choices. Why didn't you replace all the caps? Maybe you did and the photo doesn;t show it.
I would have used Mills non-inductive resistors as well.
This what I'm talking about..........my 5B's when I did the upgrade. 7's have the same parts, just a larger cabinet and PR.
