When are you going? What park are you trying to get to?
We have gone the last 3 years (and are going again this sept) to the park in Florida.
7 days, family of four, park tickets with park hopper, no water parks, hotel and dining plan (not including plane tickets though) was about $1600.
Booked straight through Disney.

How are you getting there? If you're driving down from up north, say I-95, then you'll start seeing places to get discounts in SC, then into GA.
