Getting my fix...missed my system.

Just spent a week and a half visiting family in Huntsville and Baton Rouge. The houses I stayed at had no audio equipment (I did find an old, yellowing Bose Wave radio but that doesn't count!).

If it wasn't for my mp3 player and some nice headphones it would have been a music free trip.

I really missed my system! I sit here listening to it today and really love what I have, and wonder how some people just don't have any gear at all, or any interest in quality tunes in their homes.

I caught up on some Entourage episodes last night and realized how much better they are with my system.

Nice to be home. Nice to be listening to quality sound again.

Does anyone else jones for their system (or any good system) while traveling?

I "jones " for my system just driving to work as all I have in the truck is a am/fm radio.

It's hard being away from my buddy.

Same here with you guys. I travel allot, so I go through withdrawal all the time. Last month I was out of town for 3 weeks, and boy that was rough.

I can completely identify with that. I'll be out of the country for almost a year...no gear...just picked up some SDAs--only a few weeks to enjoy them before I'm off. Scrambling to save CDs lossless on my laptop. Just bought a decent set of studio headphones and a USB/DAC unit for the computer with a Headphone input....imagine...12 months of headphone/Laptop only?

    Doing the best I can....

cnh! i can only imagine. It was horrible all 3 tours when I went to Iraq, not having my gear (which were my RT's). I did have my cousin send me the bose-in earphones and they are probably the best earphones ive ever owned. though the glue that holds the replaceable ear-insert (because its actually 2 silicone parts) melted and fell apart before my tour was over =( Just about all of you had/and still have better gear than i did then and now, i feel worse for you guys when having to leave the house for extended periods of time
