Any use for a blown RD0194?

I don't know what to do with the thing... it breaks my heart to think about tossing it.
Perhaps a paperweight...

I could use their plastics molding becuz I bought RDO198s and they don't drop in to my monitor 10s....so I did not want to cut into their faces and had to re-use the old metal plates instead that dont show off the cool polk audo branding.Cool stuff: Adcom GFA-555, GFP-710, Oppo BDP-83, Monitor 10's w/RDO198s, rebuilt and modded XO: Sonicap/Mundorf topside, Daytons Low.

The proper replacement tweeter for your Monitor 10 speakers is the RD0194-1, you bought the wrong tweeters. Regardless, the plastic frames on the RD0's are the same size.....you have to enlarge the openings.

Dunno. Just heard static in it one day. Tried swapping ICs, swapping speaker cable... then swapped tweeters and it moved to the other side.
Replacement is in the mail. -
Refrigerator magnet?
I used to have the magnet from a 15" Kicker Comp VR car sub on my fridge. You're not going to find a better magnet for attaching papers to the fridge...lolThe nirvana inducer-

This size issue has come up a lot and I'm curious. In stead of routing out the cabinet, can the RDO-194 mount be reshaped to fit?
Also, there seem to be quite a few Polk speakers still kicking around that have the Peerless or SL1000 tweeters. I wonder if there is enough market for Polk to produce an RDO-19x that would be a direct physical drop-in (ie. RDO194 with the proper size mount)? I realize that the characteristics of the RDO194 is not an exact replacement for the SL1000 or Peerless. Leave the XO mods to the installer.
Of course if we keep resurrecting Vintage Polks, they may not sell as many new ones. Naa, Polk Audio's customer support is one of its greatest assets and keeps us coming back.Stan

Or a phone book:)I like speakers that are bigger than a small refrigerator but smaller than a big refrigerator:D -
