Just hook the hot side of an extention cord to the frame. You'll find them in the morning.

Wheel locks won't stop anybody that knows what they are doing and you don't need the freaking key.

What if you use an alarm system with vibration sensor like the following:

    Omega Crime Guard (http://www.caralarm.com)

Combine that with 5 different wheel locks on each wheel, and vibration sensor. I'm looking to buy an alarm from Crutchfield ASAP. It shouldn't be that hard to install (EE major here)

Dont get crime guard, its crap.

Here's a link to a good system for cheap:
    http://www.amazon.com/Viper-1002-Alarm-Security-System/dp/B00170ZUVQ

Heres a link to one of my favorite alarms now:http://www.dealercostcaraudio.com/viper5701.aspx

It comes with remote start as well, but you don't have to hook it up. The thing I like about this remote, is that it pages you (if you're in range) if the alarm is going off. What I like about this particular pager remote is that it does not have a screen on it. Most of the 2-way pagers have screens, which makes the price of the remote go up, while decreasing it's durability.

BTW, your vibration sensor isnt going to do **** for people steeling wheels.

    This is what you need:
    http://www.dealercostcaraudio.com/directed507t.aspx

What kind of car do you have?

The installation is tedious and time consuming, but I can help you through it. Let me know.

Wheel locks may slow 'em down, but you can get tools off of the Snap On truck to get any wheel lock off.

If you get motion detector lights, don't get the halogen/etc ones with the square light.

They are piss poor at how light is directed, basically sending half of it up to the sky no matter how you point it unless directly straight down.

Buy the type like the picture below. You can buy standard light for it which have reflectors that actually work - if you mount it high, and point it down towards the are to illuminate, the light actually goes to that point.

It also keeps light in your area and not shining in the neighbors eyes.

This is the kind to buy:

This is the kind to not buy:

On the flip side of things, if these lights are easily reachable, it takes 2 seconds to unscrew the bulbs out of the non halogen ones.

i would mount the fixture high enough
and make it difficult to reach so that it
would get triggered on long enough to be notice
    before it would be disabled

If they want it bad enough, they'll take it, it's as simple as that.

If there's only one lock per rim, they'll take of the other four first on all four wheels, leaving the lock on each. Then they'll take a 4' pipe, slip it over the nut, and start poppin them off. . bing, bing, bing, bing, scoot. They don't walk around with the 'key', that's a burglary tool, and carries extra time if caught, same with a jack - see the bricks.

Then like I said can't I use five locks per rim, all with different patterns? They would have to break five locks instead of one, which is even more of a deterrent.

The whole point is to prevent auto theft, so as much security devices as possible is necessary :)

If I had wheels that anyone might actually want, I'd get at least 3 locks on each wheel. By the time they popped number 5 or 6, I should be awake. By 8 or 9, and from the second story window, the first of many paintballs should be stinging them pretty good.

That's no problem, I'd rahter have 20 total than one on each wheel which could be easily removed.

The goal is to make it harder for the thieves :)
