I just picked up the Wii and Tiger Woods 10. I plan on buying a bunch of the older gen games like Metroid and all that.
Aside from those, what games would you recommend for the Wii?

I forgot about Zelda actually. I enjoyed it, but I've also enjoyed just about every other game in that series going back to the original NES. Have very little free time now, so the Wii doesn't get used as often as it has in the past.

Punch out rocks. They did a great job with that remake.

Just got Madworld last night. That is one sick and twisted game. It's like deathrace, minus the cars. Wait, they had a movie for that already, it was called the Running Man. It's ray traced in black, like you're playing in a black/white comic book a la "Sin City".
Basicallly it's deathmatch and you're a killing machine. Look it up... it's interesting.
Also got MotoGP - boring.
Got Mario kart - that's a load of fun!
Started The Conduit and it seems interesting, no comment yet.
Punch out is fun but in the end it's just taking turns, which gets boring once you figure that out. There is zero strategy.Main Surround -

While I do agree that Madworld is a good game, it does get repetitious .
Mario Kart is a great choice, wheel or no wheel, it's fun! Online play is challenging!
I haven't tried that new "Wii Motion Plus" add-on, but I heard it works great!Samsung LN52A850 (52" 1080P LCD TV) | RTi A9's (Fronts) | Csi A6(Center) | FXi A6 (Rear Surrounds) | SVS PB12-NSD (Sub) | Oppo BDP-103 | Panamax M5300-PM

Tried resident evil for Wii last night - it was OK. Nothing to write home about.
Dead rising is a direct copy of the xbox 360 version, even though the name changed.Main Surround -

Wii sports resort is a heck of a lot of fun, great party games. Much like the original Wii sports but with more games and the increased control that motionplus offers."The secret of happiness is freedom. The secret of freedom is courage." Thucydides

Okami is very good.
Samba De Amigo if you never played it on the Dreamcast.
Wii Sports of course.
Mario Kart
Metroid
