I am looking for a turntable as a possible replacement for my dead Denon DP-52f... I am on a bit of a budget so cost will be a factor. I have about 400.00 or less to spend on audio for the next two years and do npt want to spend it all on one piece:) but will for something special...

    Thanks... i signed up at that site. wow those were the good old days.

    just a clarification. it refered to the ortofon phono cartridge

    not the tonearm. Dual was a West Germany manufacturer and the tonearm was ULM or Ultra Low Mass on that double gimbal mount.

    I thought these were collectible. I have seen them going for better than 700 on the gon and ebay... I am just beginning to look at this point however and reliability/sound quality are my paramount concerns.

    Audio Retroflex LT-76 is made by rega to the same spec as the Rega Planet turntable...

    I'd try to find a rega planar 3 for roughly that amount. The URL below is closer to 500.00, but does include a starter cartridge. Nice table and with some room to grow.
