I wanted first to thank all the regulars here. After receiving these I was looking for more information about them. Ron Temple directed me too this site.
I was up in Tennessee visiting my Brother in June and ended up bringing these home with me. His place there is small and he had them packed up back in a storage shed. I remember when he bought these and was glad to take them home with me. I have truly been enjoying them since setting them up.
They are in good shape with nothing wrong at all. Just wanted to share some pics..

Nice! Those are the ones with the crossover on top of the speaker right? Friend whom I bought my sda's from told me about those.
Oops forgot to mention, I dont think you should have them turned inward, placement for these is very critical and although you might like how they sound, I bet if you messed around with their placement you'll find something much more enjoyable!Truck setup
Alpine 9856
Phoenix Gold RSD65CS
For Sale
Polk SR6500
Polk SR5250
Polk SR104Any clue how to use the internet? Found it in about 10 sec. -
Thanks...
I have not tired them setup straight on yet. I was following the setup in the Polk manual. So far I have been good with them this way, they have a huge sound stage and with good material the speaker seem to just disappear.
Probably not quite as goods your SDA's but not bad for free.
I would love to hear a set of SDA's. Maybe someday! -
I asked my brother if I could get his speakers and bring them home and
he said NO.
nice POLKS. I remember those very well. -

The SDA's are meant to be placed straight on. The RTA's are traditional speakers, and can be toed in or not, however sounds right in the room.Ludicrous gibs! -
Those are a very nice looking set of 12Cs. Free is good, too.
Combo rig:

You're thinking of the SDA's. The RTA's are essentially part of the vintage Monitor series, and are meant to be toed-in some. My Monitor 7A's are toed-in so that the tweeters fire past my ears and intersect at a point just behind my head.
Congrats on the new speakers, and welcome to Club Polk!!The nirvana inducer-

Awesome pickup there! Those appear to be in really great shape. I have a set of RTA-12Bs and absolutely love them! Just be carefull with the top tweeter covers. They don't respond well to mad girlfriends :-(

That is basically how I have these pointing, so the the "sweet spot" is about a foot or so behind me. I don't think I have ever owned a set of speakers with a wide presence like these. This is my first set of Polks, just didn't know what I was missing. -

I know what you mean, my wife started to place a small vase on one. So the rule now is nothing on top and no liquids any where near them. -
Just sent you a PM re: hearing SDA's. What's your location?Ludicrous gibs!
