Price Advice for RT11T Vintage Polks?

I'm keeping an eye open for a local set of speakers for a garage rig which will be driven by my recently replaced Sony DA333ES (80WPC High Current).
I know nothing about vintage Polks and their value. Are these a good set of speakers (assuming they're in good condition) and what would be considered a good asking price. This guy is asking $250.
How would they compare to a set of RT55's?

On ebay I've seen some go as low as $120, and as high as low $300. Honestly I'd talk him down if youre really interested in them, as far as how they sound I have no clue and will leave that for someone else to answer.Truck setup

They look to be in good shape, but I would shoot for $200. It would be shame to see those in a garage though. They are a really sweet sounding speaker, especially with RDO/Xover upgrades. I've seen them go alot lower, but maybe $200 would be fair if they are truly mint like the guy says. I hope that helps, and good luck:)Sony 40" LCD

gosh... i think the price is reasonable just in parts alone.
if you are able to verify the condition to confirm it is in excellent shape -

dpowell, I wouldn't even be afraid to go to $350.00 on those Polks.
Fact is, I think you would have hard time finding a sweeter sounding speaker for that kind of money. Think about it.....
Just my thoughts,dpowell.

Is it just my imagination or do I am I correct in sensing that the vintage Polks including SDA's (of course) and RTA's are prized more by forum members than newer Polk RT models? I always assumed that things get better with time but I get the feeling that this may not be the case.
Looks like I will be heading over to the guy's house tomorrow to take a listen and check out their condition. He said on the phone today that they are in fantastic shape and sound great. Time will tel.....____________________________________________________________

They are 6 ohm. Regarding preference...I liked the RT35i and 55i I heard here, I just think they sound a tad sterile compared to RTAs. I have no idea how they sound compared to your powered setup, but the 11Ts sound like SDA without the SDA effect to me. I think you'll like them.

Old thread I know, but I just scored a near mint pair and really like the sound. I question the 18hz low, but they rock. Not like my SRS 1.5TLs, but for my room size, they sound great
