How do the RTE 1000P differ from the RT 1000P? All I can find in the homepage under vintage models is the RT 1000i. If anyone can shed some light it would be nice. Thinking of buying a pair.

Not sure what RTE models are....but I own a pair of RT1000P's and theyre virtually identical to the RT1000i, with the only difference being blue drivers as opposed to black. That goes along for the entire RTxxxP series excluding the cs350 and maybe the 2000/3000p's but not sureTruck setup

Apparently the RTE series were intended for export to Europe.

Thanks for the reply, now my next question is, is the P series the same tonal match as the i series? I have a CS400i, FX500i, RT2000i (rear center). I have noticed the midrange cones are black on the RT1000P, the rest of my speakers have blue midrange drivers.

I have never done a side by side comparison but they have to be a better match than my Monitor 10A's. I am kinda picky when it comes to my front sound stage during movies, front to back not so much but left to right I'm very picky. I think I can borrow them for a night or two and give them a listen.

What "other" speakers are you trying to match your RT series speakers other than the Monitor 10A's, main difference from speakers within the same time frame are the tweeters, some used silk domes during that time, while the RT series you and i have use trilaminate tweetersTruck setup

I am actually attempting to replace the Monitor 10A's in my Home Theater with the RTE 1000P. My question is, how do the (P) series of speakers compare to the (i) series? I have CS400i center, FX500i surrounds, and a RT 2000i rear center. I guess the only real question is, is the RT1000P an exact tonal match for the CS400i ?
