The Adcom GFP-565 preamp is a fantastic sounding unit! You will have to spend 3 -5 X the amount of $ to get a better preamp in my opinion.. Not because that is what I did ( ok yes I did LOL ) but, I have had several pre amps and this one has sounded as good or beaten out most of them in the $1000 and under solid state range.
It has a bypass for the tone and if that is not enough, it has a direct preamp out! It has 2 sets of pre out that uses the tone ( or you can hit the switch to bypass them) and it has a 3rd set of pre out that bypasses it all.
It is a fantastic pre-amp. I do have the original box and a stereophile review that will come with the unit.

I will be out of town till Monday. If I am slow answering questions this is why!! I will also get some pics of the unit although for some reason it is hard to photograph. Not sure why it just does not come out right when I take a pic of it. It does have a scratch or 2 on top of the unit. Beyond that, it is in fantastic shape.
I am asking $300 shipped in the USA.
