Is a Memphis 2400 Watt to Much

Is the memphis 16-MC2000D too much power for 2 Polk GNX 12's? Find the stats at the link below Thanks!

    1200 Watts at 4 ohm, 2000 at 2 ohm. I would have to say most definately YES. GNX 12" is rated up to 175 watts rms each. If you paralleld them they would each see 1000 watts.

    dude memphis is not pyle here....

    a 25,0000000000 watt pyle amp might work on some GNX's, but memphis is a good quality reputable company that when they say their amp does 2000 watts it does at least 1900 and probably tops out above its rms.

    chris is right -- 1 grand on a GNX will just about blow it out of the box.

    200 per sub is more like it.
