I don't even know the correct terminology (IEEE??), but I just purchased a turntable with the recessed, male 3-pronged, 110V reseptacle as used on high end audio and many computers/monitors.

All I have lying around extra are standard computer power cords, and I would love to try some better cords.

I know I've missed dozens in the for sale forum over the past several months, but I wasn't ready then.

Preferably nothing too expensive, but something decent.

I've found support here in CP from Norm and Early, and a bit elsewhere for the IEgo L70530 Power Cord.

    There's a listing on Audiogon with some pretty attractive pricing . . . http://cls.audiogon.com/cgi-bin/cls.pl?powrcabl&1252316889

Does anyone have any experience with this seller, or iEgo cables in general?

There is probably a thread about this but I can't find it. How much of a difference does an expensive power cord really make compared to the factory model?

    thx

Depending on the gear the difference can be HUGE for some people.

Greg, I just saw this thread (I guess its a few days old). Anyway, that is the original distributor of this brand in Taiwan. I bought my 3 IeGo cords from him and they arrived in 3 days (no lie) from the date of my order with great packing. I think his name is David Wei. Great communication and super prompt shipping.

Basically, the more you buy the more you save on shipping. Like I said, I think 3 cables cost me $240 with shipping, which breaks down to $80 per cable for a fairly generous length. Very cost effective in my book. Just my

    Hi Ken,

That's a loaded and emotionally charged question, and it takes lots of time, money and experimentation to find the proper synergistic combo that works best in any given system.

That said, I've had superb results with speaker cables and IC's, so now I'm climbing onto the first rung of the power cable ladder.

The PS Audio and iego brands caught my attention as being decent quality with a relatively low (only 20X more than standard :) ) cost to start out.

With all audio components, I've learned to buy, listen, sell and then purchase the next level up and make up my own mind. It's been a rewarding journey.
