I have a cd that skips on one song and some older cds that could use some cleaning.Im looking at some of those cleaners and repair kits on ebay but since I never bought one Im wondering if any of you have and what is a good one.?Or are they all pretty much the same thing? Looking to keep it under 20.00 bucks........And thanks for any suggestions.

See if a search turns something up. I recall describing how I have resurfaced cd's the same way as a car.
To be brief:
Wetsand with 1000 grit wetsandpaper.
Then with 2500
Then with cut polish
then with swirl mark polish
wax if desired.
It may end up looking kind of foggy, but still will play fine. Keep in mind that any scratches on the painted side are non repairable. Hold it up to the light. If you see light shining through the metallic plate, the laser plate is damaged and you need a new cd. -
