I have had this setup for 4 - 5 months now as far as using with the imprint add-on.

I have 2 MMC6500 in front and 2 db690's in the rear with an Alpine MRP-F450 amp.

I also have a MM2104 Subwoofer and an Alpine 500 watt mono amp.

Does anyone here have any tips on using the imprint system?

I have gone to other forums and done a lot of reading, but I am always looking for tips on using the imprint.

The info you emailed me I already had as it looks like we both got them form the same source, but thanks anyway I do appreciate you sending it to me.

As I said above, I'm always looking for new ways to tune with the imprint.

It sounds good to me, although I think it can be improved on.

I would like to see what someone who really knows how to tune would do compared to the imprint sound on my system just to compare.

I'm far from an expert on tuning.

BTW my system is in a 2006 MINI Cooper S.

i talked to an alpine rep and they have done blind tests with some of the top tuners and the results are very very similar in a lot of cases. i still think going by ear would be the best way to go for a very experienced person.

The Imprint is great as long as it's used within it's realm. A lot of people take no regard to proper installation and expect the Imprint to work miracles. I see this in HT setup's quite often. I belong to the, " the less altered the original signal the better off you are" camp. That being said, while the Imprint has it's bugs and limitations, it's a great starting tool for those who don't have tons of time to spend tweaking their stereo.
