Rotel RCD-991 AE Audiophile Edition

I may regret this a whole lot one day, but for now I have to switch things up to make room for other gear. I'm rarely this apprehensive about selling a piece of gear, bu this is truly a stellar cd player. There are a few for sale on Agon coincidentally as these fairly rarely come up for sale (a real shocker about the others, actually). This example is in absolutely excellent condition with just two small scratches on the top right of the top of the faceplate. Other than that, this almost looks new.
Still considered by many as the flagship Rotel cd player outside of the Michi line. Built with no regard to cost. http://www.head-fi.org/forums/f7/peek-inside-rotel-rcd-991-a-93801/
I've compared it head to head with a friend's RCD-1072 and this was more detailed and warm with more bass weight and less rolled off treble. Comes with balanced and unbalanced outputs as well as digital. This would make a great transport as well. I've never seen a cd player read cd's so quickly (shows number of tracks and total time on the display a mere 3 seconds after closing drawer). I really can't say enough good things about this player.
I'm pricing it conservatively since it really wouldn't be worth selling for anything less. It's that good. Considering the 1072's go for around $450, this is a steal. It was professionally cleaned in 2004.
$350 plus shipping or $380 shipped
Will ship with remote in original double box from Rotel.
I'll throw in a 6 ft. PS Audio Prelude SC power cable that made a real difference with this player for an extra $50.

The flash really makes the player look bad. With these brushed aluminum faceplates, the flash just makes smudges appear that aren't really there.

When trying to photograph the 2 scratches on the top of the faceplate, it was really hard to do, but the last two pics show it as best as the camera could.

Forgot to mention that I'll throw in some Audioquest Topaz IC's for free with the player or some Zu Oxyfuels for $20
