He went to the ER last week due to severe stomach ache and later he was diagnosed with chronic pancreatitis. W/in 48hrs, all his vital organs shut down. The doctors weren't able to do any surgery due to his affected liver and kidneys so the toxin in his body was just eating his flesh. They pulled the plug last Friday. I feel weird like there's emptiness in me. Never lost a friend before...... :(

may he rest in peace........GODSPEED JOEL.
Godspeed,

    My condolences.

However, if this disiese was chronic, he had to have had symptons way before this.

You men need to take yourselves to the doctor when you are not feeling well, don't wait until it's too late for them to do anything about it. Otherwise you see the result here.

Sorry for the loss....I was just sitting on my deck last night thinking of a close friend I lost a few years ago. He was only 44. We had some great times together and it burns me up that (as already mentioned) he didn't take better care of himself by not ignoring symptoms. I don't know if either of our friends would still be with us today if they had seeked medical advice early but it's made a believer out of me.
Hang in there, the pain subsides and you'll always have the memories/photos....but you'll probably always miss him.

On behalf of his family, I would like to thank you for your thoughts and prayers. Later today, he will be cremated to dust. :(:(:(Along with his family/ students (YEP, he's a 4th deg black belt in Taekwondo) and friends made a sad farewell last night. He was only 40yrs old. RIP buddy.

I hope this is a reality check for all of us here, he was the type of guy that didn't get himself check 'till the pain was intolerable.

That's a rough one. I haven't lost any friends yet. But both parents went within the last 12 months. So you have my sympathy.

40, that's hard to accept, so young...my condolences to his family! Take care of the kids..
