I was looking at my site for the local german SVS dealer and I noticed that they had the new HK AVR's for sale. I don't know if anyone has heard anthing good or bad about them but I'm still looking for a good A/V unit for the Canton's and SVS 12" tube I just bought so I thought I would give you guys a try. I was thinking of getting the AVR 355 but I included the web page to the 255 if you guys are intrested...
No...Pioneer Elite does not make a 220VDC and Onkyo sounds great but runs a little too hot for my tastes.

VDC?
I wasn't aware of many places that use DC electricity. I'm looking at the manual for the 255 and it says AC 220-240V/50hz.
It is true, Pioneer Elite does NOT make a 220VDC receiver, but they do make 220VAC receivers... a whole line of them.

Europe runs on 220V/50Hz and that's what I need since I live in Germany. Europe is really killing me when it comes to what I want in a receiver. If I lived in the states I would just get the SC-07 and be done with it but I don't so I can't.
I have another couple weeks before I'm forced to buy a receiver so I will look a little harder.
Thanks a million for the link, that helps alot.Receiver: Marantz SR7002

You posted that you used 220VDC - which I don't believe any country uses. That's direct current.
The link i sent you is for 220VAC alternating current.
There are equivalent models to the SC-07 for Europe.Main Surround -

I think some manufactures make units that are switchable for both power requirements, but most of those are not released in the US. I'm assuming you will be back state side at some point so I would suggest you look for something that can be switched to 110V 60 Hz when you do get back. That or I would go with a lower cost unit if I knew I would be needing to buy again. But that's just me.
Now idea about this place but some idea of what is avail.
