Hello all, I am fairly new to posting threads on here. I have followed all you for quite some time now. I now own 3 pairs of modified monitor's and now feel I got my LAST pair of speakers tonight on ebay. They are the SDA-SRS II without the Bi-amping ability...which I think they are 4 ohm? Either way, do you think $625 for a pair of these delivered to the house was worth it? I am super excited to hear these compaired to my SDA-1A's that I love so much now. I am pushing 400+ watts a channel at 4 ohms on my amp, so I am ready for the fun. Any feedback on this Holiday weekend is appreciated!!
Thanks guys,
Dan

$625 is a good price. Shipping and SDA's don't go good together.

Welcome! your last pair? your just getting started my friend HA! seem to be a good price and I believe they're better because of the positioning of the tweeters but I am not real familiar with either model you have. What Brand-kind of amp are you running? 400 should be plenty IMO.

Is this the set that went on Ebay for 425.00? If so, congrats on the score, and yes they are worth it! That said, don't you thing asking this before winning them would have been a good idea? Not wanting to be an ****$, just asking.
As I said they are a great speaker and will be more than worth it when you smile so big you will need to walk out the patio door because the front door is to small:D
Enjoy and WELCOME to CP

Thanks Guys, yep I just bought them from ebay last night. I am using a Samson SX1200 amp and DBX IEQ-31, oh ya and a simple gemini pre-amp. Very clean and protected system to listen to musuc to. If my next house has the ability to convert a theater room, I think I will use these new guys as the fronts. Looking forward to hearing the deep bass that go hand and hand with these srs's.
I'll post some pics after I get them up and running! -
I drove 500miles to pick up some pin/blade bi-ampable ones for $450.00 back when gas was around $4.00/gallon, it took ten long hours to do it and I'm very glad I did!! They are great sounding Polks and I too think that these will be the last SDAs I'll ever get! Enjoy em !!

Lasareath, What is the major difference between the MW6509 driver and the other's that are installed througout the SDA line? I am assuming they are not all equal, but just curious as to why the 6509's are so special and not made anymore?
Thanks
