between the mw6503 and the mw6511? My drivers in both cabinets have the magnets covered in Dynamat, and the ID tags are covered. This stuff is impossible to get under to take a peak. are there specs that can be read that will help ID the drivers? I am only concerned as the guy also wired the cabinets incorrectly when he put the drivers back in, so I must assume the worst here and figure he did not care as to what driver went where. Thanks for the help...

You could try gently heating the dynamat with a hair dryer, blowing away from the driver. May loosen it up enough to peel it back a bit.

possible there is a standing resistance.
see if there is a difference using your ohm meter.
    for example

    6516 reads approximately 6.8 ohms
    6502 reads approximately 3.6 ohms

i would be curious to know what your drivers measures
