I got this DBX sub from Good Will for 20 bucks and thought it might be nice with a amp hooked up to it. After I got it home I found out the x-over on it was toast so I pulled it out and found the box to be extremely well made, but the sub to be crap. So I was at the pawn shop and found this Kicker Comp 15" for 40 bucks, and thought what a nice upgrade. Then got home and checked prices on plate amps at PE and found a 240 watt RMS, a perfect match for the Kicker for 109. So I ordered it and it came in today. I just got it all together and except for the loud hum, which a ground loop isolator took care of, this thing rocks, I would assume its going well into the low 20's and shakes everything in the house but not any kind of vibration noise coming from the sub itself. For a sealed 15" it has a real nice tight bass and box airspace was optimal for the Kicker as well, here are some pics.
