Bought the Pioneer Sc 07 and want to connect two PSW 125 subwoofers. How can I do this with only one subwoofer in LFE on the back of my receiver?

PS: I still have not been able to get all 7 speakers working as well?

Y-cables, don't worry about signal loss as it isn't really a problem.

What's the matter with the speakers? All of them not playing/working correctly? Please explain and I bet others will chime in and try to help!

Yes I ran the MCACC to calibrate and it did pick up the back speakers.

Can I get a Y cable for a subwoofer or just RCA?

Is there any reason that I can not get the front of the receiver to show me that all 7 speakers are working? It always has the front three lit up and what appears to be the side speakers.

Is there only one audio format that will force the seven speaker set-up to play? Neutral THX? Are the blu ray's telling my receiver which format to play the audio in?

I am not overly familiar with the SC-07 and I'm sure there is an ICE Club member that will be able to give you a for sure answer but I will give it a shot. As for why only five of your speakers are showing up lit on your AVR, I assume that is because whatever you are watching is formatted in 5.1, and almost everything on the market these days (except for a small number of Blu-Ray's) is formatted that way. The speakers that are lit up are the speakers that are "supposed" to be on according to the way the sound is intended to play in a 5.1 set-up. Try getting one of the few Blu-Rays that is formatted in 7.1 and maybe those other two speakers will light up on your display. I know Saw V is formatted in DTS HDMA 7.1 and should be readily available at your local movie rental place. Like I said I am not overly familiar with your AVR, but that is my guess as to what is going on. There are others that are formated in 7.1, but that is the only one I can remember off the top of my head. As for a format that forces it to play in 7.1, I believe the AVR automatically "upconverts" the 5.1 to a matrixed 7.1 in certain settings such as Dolby Pro Logic IIx. I know, for example, Dolby TrueHD-capable players can create a 2-channel downmix from a 6-channel source audiotrack, but I'm not sure about upconverting. However, that upconversion is coming from your source, not your AVR. Sorry if this is confusing, just not good at explaining things sometimes, lol. I do know for a fact though if you are using your PS3 as a source for Blu-Ray's (as I do) the AVR will not display Dobly TrueHD or DTS HD Master Audio on it's front panel, because of the way the PS3 outputs the signal to the AVR (Linenar PCM) If you press select while the movie is playing though on a Blu Ray that is formatted in either of those formats and look at the top right of the screen it will display there. So fear not, just because your AVR doesn't say it on the faceplate, it is indeed playing in the desired format. Just make sure that your settings on your PS3 are set to Linear PCM, and not Bitstream on your BD audio options. Hope this helps and very nice rig by the way.

It's because your source isn't 7.1. The manual explains what you'll see on the display and when. In the example you give, you're seeing a 5.1 source. That's what I see most commonly on mine. I'm starting to think 7.1 wasn't worth setting up, as even most new stuff, even on blu-ray isn't 7.1.
