Hello to all,

Baggedlancer is selling a custom turntable clamp a friend of his made for a Project RM5 in the FS section of the board. Here is the link: http://www.polkaudio.com/forums/showthread.php?t=84873

Does anyone know whether this would fit and work on a Technics SL-1200 MK2? Thanks in advance for your replies.

    Keiko,

Thanks for the reply. I will ask Mark to meausre for me. I guess all I have to worry about is either my spindle being smaller than the hole on the clamp or if the clamp is threaded (thanks for inquiring about that in the FS thread Hearing Impaired). I'm also wandering if it may be worth it to just go ahead and get a clamp that's specifically made for the 1200. There is another person in line for the clamp, so I may just let them have dibs on it.

I'm 99% positive that his clamp is a threaded style like many Pro-ject tables use. This one by Clearaudio is quite popular and somewhat reasonably priced:
