Has anyone purchased from Best of Audio site

I have a site that haves many Polk speakers for prices lower that many other sites. For example, Polk RTIA9 for $596 each. I am wondering if this is B stock at these prices. Cannot seem to find whether they are or not. Here is the link to their "Best of Polk Page" Any feed back would be appreciated :D

    Thanks Osarion, I do not know how i missed that. I have been checking the Polk Ebay store and they have not yet put up the RTIa9's. Or for that matter very few of any of the RTI line. There has been a rumor from another thread that the Polk Direct on ebay was going to be posting them in a couple weeks for $899.00. Again,just a rumor as far as I am concerned. Thanks again for pointing it out..... Maybe I should clean my glasses or get new ones.

    Haha well with all the speaker goodness floating around that page it is kinda hard to miss. It took me a minute to see it myself. There was a time that the good looking lady would have been the first thing I saw....Oh well speakers are sexy too!!!

    Maybe that is my problem. I am finding the speakers sexier than the lady and can't take my eyes off the speakers!

    That sounds about accurate in terms of the rti a's going on the ebay store in a week or two. I talked to a polk representative and that was the timeframe he gave me. I would wait for it (I am).

    I have done alot of searching and if you don't mind reburish products Polk ebay has the best prices...or newegg for new.

    Something to consider:
    Best of Audio is not on Polks authorized seller list. Your option, but that means any problems and you deal with the seller, Polk can not help you.

    Also you may wish to call Polk Direct for RTi's, I have heard others say they have done this with success. Not sure if it works all the time, but this may be why the RTi's are hard to find on the Polk's e-Bay page.

    The Best of Polk site emailed me back and stated "Shipping for Polk RTIA9's is $150 to my Chicago. And yes Polk RTIA9 do carry warranty but its throught us. We only sell brand new ,"A" stock and not refurbished'

    Polk has a very good highly regarded CS dept. Their people only deal with Polk products, know them well, have access to original replacement parts and know suitable replacement parts when originals are not available and are very concerned with your satisfaction with Polk products.

    I have no knowledge of Best of Audio, they may also have good CS. Or they may have 3 people taking care of all their customers and all the different products they sell. They may make acceptable repairs, they may not. You are making the effort to find how reputable of a seller they are which is all you can do. Basically it's a crap shoot IMHO and I never deal with non authorized sellers of any gear. If it was someone local that I could go check out and deal face to face.......MAYBE. Others deal with grey market all the time and feel the $$ saved is worth it even if they get burned occasionally.

    I have read a few posts where it is being said that the Polk RTI A line which is the newer series of the RTI line will soon be available via Polk Direct on Ebay. I have purchased from them before and have received like new products with a 1 year warranty on speakers. Have been very satisfied,. So I emailed Polk Direct today and this was their response:

    We are in the process of updating our inventory and we are hoping to have some Rti A this month.

    I noticed they are selling the LSi15s as single speakers, without the option to specify a left or right version. So, you could end up with two lefts, or two rights.

    Looks gray-market. I've bought gray-market before and didn't get burned, but that is obviously a real possibility.

    They sell sunfire amps and processors, which is the big appeal to me. But at about $600 off retail - might as well buy legit. Its gotta be about 50% off for me to roll the dice.

    I have purchased form Polk Direct on Ebay and like I said received like new speakers. I recently purchased FTIA4's surrounds from them and they were marked left and right and looked brand new! I was looking for the towers RTIA9's so I would not have to worry about the right/left thing. Polk Direct is Polk! with a full year warranty.
