Spring Fever

Oh man, it was nice weather here in Baltimore today. I drove around with my window down so I could hear the roar of my Mighty Red 347 Mustang. Tell ya what, I really missed that sound over the winter. With the Nascar season started and the weather on the brink of warming up, I got the fever!!!

I'm sending it into the shop for a little checkup to prepare it for summer. Have a nice fresh oil change lined up in the next week. I got the itch now to run it at the track to see what it will do. I guess late April the tracks will open up around here.

Anyone else got the fever? Come on, I know you're out there!

The fever starts for me the first time newly mowed grass smells like a baseball field. I then go running for my baseball mit and try to smell the two together. If its a perfect match, then my fever has started.

All I have to see is the notice for The Phillies players to report for Spring Training. Then I know Spring is on its way.

I agree with Shizelbs though. I just have to smell that freshly mowed grass and I want to be on a ball field somewhere! The smell of the grass and infield clay are mesmerizing! I can't wait until the new Philles stadium opens next year! Real grass! Finally! Ever since Connie Mack was torn down, the Philly area has severely lacked a decent ball field. The only other grass smell that gets me in the mood is when the football teams are trampling the grass. It just gets me in the mood for not only football but every fall/winter holiday. I caught a smell of that fresh spring gras the other day. My neighbor's dog was digging a hole and I could smell the grass and itsmelled oh so nice! If only there was a BBQ grill going with a few steaks or some ribs and chicken on it! MMMMM! BBQ!

I can't wait to get the snow tires off the truck and put the Z-rated rubber back on but it's going to be expensive this year. I have to replace wheels and get new tires because of some broad in a minivan last December.

That's another thing I can't wait for. I've been driving around for months with my stockies on, I can't wait to put my other wheels and tires back on.

And NO, wash your own! :) I need to get one of those powerwashers.

See, here in Texas I can run my Prodrive P7s with Yoko ES100 rubber on them all year long :)

For the summer I'll be on some 99 2.5RS wheels with Falken Azenis tires. Shouldn't have any problem sticking at that point.

I need to wash mine baaaaad, but it's kinda hard to do in the apartment complex. The powerwashers just don't get the grime off.

The problem is, my STOCK tires are Z-rated rubber. I'm running on aftermarket wheels and snow tires.

Dude you live like 60 seconds away from a Genie car wash! I know you get the cupons in the mail like I do. It's like $6! :p

It's looking like rain soon, so I'm waiting to wash my truck.

I'm pretty much with Ron here. It hasn't been winter long enough to miss spring. It's been nice lately though, but I'm not looking forward to those 95-115 degree days that I know are coming soon.

It's gonna hit 60+ here in upstate New York today...it's been a long time coming. It was in the 50's yesterday...warmest day we've had since November.
The winter has been the coldest we've had for a quarter century.

We received 4.1" of rain in 24hours over Friday night and Saturday. **** man, I have never seen rain come down that hard. It was coming down so fast that my rain gutters could not keep up and were overflowing like waterfalls.

    Peace Out~:D

DAAAAAAAAAAAMN... But I guess I'd rather see rain than snow. Rain seems to go away by itself without shoveling of any kind :)
