Static Hum in speakers - traced to cable connection

I have found that my upgrade bug and its subsequent equipment purchases for me has been, in the short term, nothing short of the hopeful naivety of Plug and Play when it was first released to the PC market.
First, it was backwards inpatibility with my Denon 3910 over HDMI and the amp or maybe the projector (I won't really ever know without another HDMI display entering the house) and most-recently a new hum in the speakers that somehow seems to be being transmitted from my Samsung HDTV tuner through the HDMI cable and affecting the Blu Ray player.:(
The crazy thing is that I don't get the static hum when the receiver is set to TV/SAT and receiving the HD signal from the tuner. I get it when I'm turned to other HDMI and non-HDMI inputs on the receiver (it's not all of them). The dimmer switches for the lights on separate circuits make the sound go crazy.
I tried grounding my amp to one of the RT3000 plate amps (which I had done in the past for a similar problem) since it is the only grounded piece of equipment in my whole setup but no dice. I finally traced it to the cable connection by unplugging the coax cable from the tuner and all of the sudden, problem gone.
Now what to do? This problem did not exist 2 days ago (that I'm aware of).

Is this coax your cable? Didn't catch that for sure, but sounds like it. What happened 2 days ago? Assuming you have changed nothing I would go to where the cable comes in and check the ground there. Has ther been any work done around your home/in basement?
Some reading for you.
